Help!! My husband has a terrible case of athletes foot. I start my new job today (with benefits) and we won't have any insurance until January. We have tried every over the counter med possible, but to no avail. Does anyone have any "home remedies" that we might be able to try? Thanks in advance!!

I use Absorbine Jr. It stings when you put it on but does the trick for that itchy burning stuff. It has an oder to it but it does not last long. It's also good for bug bites. It comes in a bottle with a sponge applicator top. I have gotten it at Walmart in where the bandaids and rubbing alcohol are. Good luck.

Tea tree Oil! I first used a product called Tea Tree for Toes, it worked great but can't find it around here. It's really just a spray with tea tree oil and alcohol in it. The oil is available at health food stores and some groceries. You can put it on full strength, or use some in warm water as a foot soak, just be sure to let between your toes and your toenails dry thoroughly before you dress your feet. It's all natural and there's nothing like it.
I confess, once a long time ago I sprayed my feet with Lysol. It did work, but I wouldn't recommend it! |

I have tried a few meds and found that Bacitracin ointment works to stop the itching. It is an antibiotic ointment. My feet were itching like mad the other night and I just grabbed this and tried it. It worked. I hope it will for your husband as well.

Please try and use Vick's Vapor Rub. I know it sounds strange, but it is suppose to work on most every thing. Rub it on at night before bed and then put on a pair of socks. Let me know if it works!
