hi,
my name is melodi.I know where you are coming from I have been right where you are. Oct 31 2005 I was at my higher weight 330, I am only 5'4" in height.
I have numorous health issues, and had tried with no success and gave up trying to lose the weight. I decided to have gastric bypass surgery. It has been a great success, I now weigh about 155 and I am happy with this weight. It has not been a magical cure, but I am glad I did it. I went from a size 28 (tight) to a very loose 14, need to wear a 12 I guess. If you want to chat let me know. Good luck melodiw@hotmail.com

Hi Marie, I too have a weight problem. I do know you should go get your thyroid checked. I was doing well losing and then it turned around. When I went to see my Dr. she suggested getting me thyroid checked, it was probaly close to 2 years since mine was checked and my meds stayed the same then. Well I went to get the blood test, ahe called me a few days later to tell me she had called in a new perscription for me with a lower dose. I am due to get mine checked again. Just a thought, hope all works out good for you. Take Care. Arlene

Hello, I completely understand I have battled with weight and depression for a long time and then I found Himalayan Goji Juice and I am 40 pounds thinner in a size 10 and I am not up and down like a yo yo. It gave me the energy to get off the couch and it gave me my life back and all I can do is smile now. Wink

Gojigirl, Where can I purchase this juice, is it? What does it taste like? I am a longtiime suffer of Fibromyalgia, LRS,GERD,IBS, MFP, Thyroid, and you know Depression comes with Fibromyalgia. I am in Weight Watchers. Have been for near 2 years. Have gained and lost like a yo-yo weekley, However I believe in this plan of eating and will continue. Cortisone shots, meds, and just Fibro causes swelling which I fight. You know first hand that we can still lose our weight with Fibro, it just takes longer. If I did not go to WW I would weight over 200+. Please send me your info on this. You can use my email if you wish. Thanks.

To Marie (angeleyes41062) What kind of a Thyroid test did you have done. I know there is more than one and some doctors just think women are crazy when they ask to be rechecked again. Its not easy to lose weight. I get 20 pounds off and then I just hang there. Or I gain it back out of frustration. Barb

Joy.... Would you mind telling me what meds you take for your depression. I've been on several over the years. The side effects were terrible. Finally found one that sorta helps without side effects. But I'm still having difficulty with depression. The next time I go to the Dr. I plan to ask him about changing meds. Try to find something that may work better.

I was on anti-depressants (nortryptilline) sp?for neuralgia. I found out it causes intense cravings for sweets and makes you gain weight. I am now on Lyrica (just started it).
I have found out that water is great for losing weight. Most people are dehydrated and don't know it. Your body craves water and your mind thinks food so you eat. Try water (8 glasses a day). I know it doesn't taste like much, but I got used to it and so can you! I drink bottled water (1 bottle re-filled over and over and over again).

Well what i think you could try to do is eat less. Also maybe the special k diet. I been on it for 3 months and actually have lost 3 inches in my waist. Of course with exercising too mostly walking. I also stopped drinking pop eating sweet and chips. I would look into the special k thing though it is really great the bars are actually really good so is the protein mix

Last June I went on the Solo Slim natural diet pill. You may get it at a health food store or on soloslim.com. I took 1 capsule every morning and also, walk on my treadmill. By, the time my husband and I went to Las Vegas on Sept. 16th. I had lost 28 lbs. EXERCISE is the 1 main key. I went from 182 to 154. I have not gain the weight back to this day. But, I do try to keep up the walking. Portable DVD players are great in front of a treadmill. Put your favorite movie in and go. GOOD LUCK.
