I sure hope they don't go out of bussiness,I really love this magazine.I haven't heard anything about this.

Would love to see this magazine keep going as it's one of my favorites! Can anybody from Quick and Simple answer why they are not going to publish this anymore? I always looked forward to Friday as that is when Walmart put the magazine out so please Q & S keep this magazine going!! Does anybody know the reason they decided to do this?

To the Editor,if this story is true,when did the Company plan on telling all to not buy the mag. because it will be useless for any contests that start the day you stop publishing.ipersonally hope whomever said thisjust made a horrific mistake!!!and tomorrow you,yourself will be posting to us all on this shocker.you know me, and i am sure there are others,begin to feel like you really know some of the people,just by the way they put stuff they post.this was one of the first sites i went to after i picked up the mag. at my groc.the best of the best is when we get encouragement from someone hundreds of miles away.maybe now we have an ans. to why the price increase?? again i repeat myself,please post an answer to this dilima.thanks EFFIE

NEW YORK, July 1, 2008 — Hearst Magazines has made the decision to cease publication of the print version of our women's weekly Quick & Simple, effective with the July 29 issue, on newsstands July 21, and focus on its newly enhanced Web site. Since its launch in August 2005, the magazine has attracted a growing consumer base and excellent advertiser response. However, due to market conditions and significantly escalating paper costs, it has become increasingly challenging to produce a low-cost, low-priced weekly.

Quick & Simple’s revamped Web site (www.quickandsimple.com) offers useful tips, advice, information and recipes to time-pressed, value-conscious women across the country. It features a new design, better navigation, an extensive recipe finder, and deeper content, including new blogs, daily horoscopes, exclusive online coupons and expanded community.

We remain committed to introducing and acquiring print titles, investing in our established ones, and growing our new Digital Media unit, which now manages 23 Web sites and nine mobile sites.

I just received a e-mail from Quick and Simple at 5:15 am this morning. It is true: they have folded ( exact words used ) and their last issue will be July 29th. I sent them an e-mail when I heard this because they are suppose to feature my husband and I in the July 22nd issue. It's going to be missed that's for sure.

hi justnoww.....thanks for the update,no i sure missed Queen Sharis post.so i quess we will all save $8 a month,and i will still miss the mag.,it is not the same just going on line,but you know i go to Spark People all time and,no mag. so there you go.it is simply what we all got used to!!!!so now i will not feel alittle guilty about Martha and Real Simple.we have to be happy we can still communicate,and we will get more sleep instead of up reading the new mag. day it came out.and we will still have Brenda i assume,and that's good.....EFFIE

What is this all about... I about fell off my chair when I read that "Q&S" will not be published ANYMORE.....????? PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS NOT TRUE! I have been a reader since the VERY FIRST ISSUE... AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT... I STILL HAVE EVERY SINGLE ISSUE...
SO, WHAT IS THE MATTER OVER THERE AT HEARST...???? I truly would appreciate someone reconsidering..otherwise.. You are breaking alot of folks..hearts.. :-(

Does this mean that we have to use the rest of our subscription to get to see this on line. What a bummer. I looked foward to getting my subscription weekly. Times are rough, but if we are willing to pay, why can't you keep the magazine going?

hi all,and to any one involved with stopping this mag. we were given the thought of cost of paper going up.now been doing some thinking,and Hearst Publising explain this to all of us who faithfully have bought the Q&S mag,even after the cost increase.i paid $5.99 for i year of GoodHousekeeping,$9.99 ea. for womans day,and family circle.much much bigger mag. in size.bet you do not raise the $ on them!!!okay so maybe they have a bigger following,Q&S was not given the chance to grow big!!!and be around for years like they have been.i think someone in your offices needs their ....kicked for making a mess of things!!!!!!!!!!!i'll tell you what,,,if anyone screwed up so bad in nursing over paper work not being researched well before being iniciated (spell),they would have a hard time getting a job again.so maybe talk to whomever goofed up.i know you publish many,many mag.but there is some you do not,have you concidered a protest against them???any way i have let off my steam and at this point none is going to help,due to fact ,you won't back down.kinda like the $1000 toilet seats purchased by the gov't.oh well.by the way,anyone out there hear any thing about paper going up???????long and boring i know.....
