Now I get all these good hints to get rid of mice.
Had a cat that was afaid of mice one time.
Our first house had mice that had parties up in the attic. When we finished the attic, no mice!
One way to get rid of them....

We live on a farm and also have problems with mice off & on. I have purchased rat sticky traps from K-Mart in different sizes to use throughout my basement year-round. I was surprised to find out they catch other critters besides mice. I have been told it has also caught a snake at my neighbors house. Check the traps off & on. Do not touch the glue part. It is very sticky. Hide in different areas of your home away from children & pets. Read the pkg. well before using. Mice can also chew through plastic. Try keeping food in cans, if possible. Unless of course you have problems with bugs, then keep food in containers. Good Luck.

You might try peppermint oil, mice are allergic to it. they run from it. It has to be pure peppermint oil from the health food store.Just put some on a cotton balls and put through out the house. You can just wipe along baseboards.Good for ants, too. Makes the house smell minty also. Good Luck!!

During the winter we had a huge problem with mice. We tried everything and nothing worked till we got a Riddex pro. You plug one into an outlet on each floor. With in a week we noticed no more mice. ALso it it also works on bugs. I read mixed reviews on the Riddex but it works for us Cathy

Oh, Please, do not use the boxes of food that were chewed. I was informed, although they, the mice, donot go all the way through the food, their....."little"..... nasty riders may be in there, and they carry diseases, also. I buy when on sale, too(who doesn't now days?), and if possible, I freeze. Freezing stops the expiration date(or at least it postpones it til thawed). I am training my dog to catch the nasty intruders, as well as my kitten. It is a good idea to treat your little 'Hero' for catching rodents by removing the mouse and replacing with a very well deserved treat and not allowing your 'Hero'(and I really do mean HERO),to eat them as they may have rabbies or previously eatten poison. Hope this helps.

Typically puddings, cake mixes, etc. I hate to throw the stuff away since I typically stock up when stuff is on sale. Any clues for keeping the mice out of my pantry?

I had mice eat through the lid of a plastic tote to get to the food. I have found putting steel wool in the openings or cracks in an area keeps the mice from getting in.
