If you are a sewer such as myself and need just a bit of interfacing turn to a used fabric softener sheet.. Or use it as a stabilizer when embroidering on your sewing machine.

I use them in my dresser drawers to keep the freshness going and some I use to dust the TV, computer tower and fan blades. They work just the same as the wipes for dusting.

I use a bounce sheet when I am sitting outside, it keeps the bugs away. Also I heard but I didn't try it yet that if you put a bounce sheet in the bottom of a pan that has caked on food and cover it with water to soak overnight, it will come right out without scrubbing.

To have the most absorbent towels, use only half
of a fabric softener sheet per load. This is a thrifty idea that really works. I get twice as much fabric softening for my money and my towels
are much more absorbent.

Use you bounce sheets to clean the dryer and washer inside and out once you finish doing your laundry. I also use the sheets to clean up the corners of kitchen floor....sure cleans up that hard to reach corner.

I tear them in half, too. New ones: I put them in suitcases or storage boxes or cars; makes them smell great instead of musty. Used ones: I make my own draft dodgers, and I stuff the draft dodgers with the sheets. You can use them for stuffing rag dolls, etc. I also make angels with the used ones. Make sachets with them.

Smiler [B]SURPRISE Wink
I have so many uses for them, that I go to $$$ store and get the cheapest ones that smell good and use them. For the Laundry I have special brand or brands that I like better. But the cheaper ones, go everyplace I go. I keep a box in the car, not only makes it smell good, but cleans up messes, absorbs drips in the cup holder and cleans the inside of the windshield. Plus I put one in each of my pillows on laundry day. I put one in the bottom of my purse, stick one in each pocket of my sweaters, coats or jackets. And too like others my shoes, also clean t.v. and fans and light bulbs (do bulbs while cool) then when you turn lamp on your room will smell fresher. And they do help clean out pots and pans and will shine brass (if you catch it quick enough). Put in Gym bag, book bags, suitcases, storage any place. I sometimes will put a fresh one in a letter or card that I send out, to make it smell good (not a business letter of course). They dust every thing of course. I also hang one on my hangers, just punch a hole and slide it over the hook. They are great for wiping down the shower. And as far as the interfacing (like the lady uses) I don't use and old one, I use a fresh one, being stiffer helps hold material better, plus when the garment is washed or cleaned, it already as an automatic softener in it. I line the bottom of all drawers, and even my potato and onion bin or fresh fruit bowl. keeps "fruit flies" away. They shine shoes, especially Military shoes, great shine, any shiny leather.I use a new one for a bookmark, keeps the book from getting damp. I could go on and on. Best invention ever. But here is another great laundry softener, to save money, I buy a bottle of liquid, pour one cap on a dry wash cloth and use it for about two or three loads in dryer, saves a bunch of money.
We also make flowers out of them, and they make beautiful Christmas Wreaths, they look like snow, sometimes spray with sparkle. There are a million and one things to do with them.

Wow, these are great tips, especially the one about the fruit flies - we have a devil of a time with them. Thanks for sharing.

Good Grief, and to think all I did with my used fabric softener sheets was throw them out! I guess I need to start saving them and using them for a few of these things you all have mentioned. This forum is the greatest place for getting ideas! Big Grin
