I fill a tupprware container with hot soapy water and submerge the bottles overnight. Just take a butter knife and scrape the labels off!

I use them for anything from paperclips, to rubberbands, to storing my beading supplies, to whatever I have that is very small, including using them for small jewelry gift boxes; sometimes they are just the right size fot the jewelry I make, & give as gifts, & it wraps up nicely in a pill bottle, just gather wrap, tie up with a ribbon at the top, & it's wrapped. Also good for small amounts of hand cream, or rub, shampoo, etc., esp. for traveling & saving space. And to get the labels off, take a sharp knife, & start at one corner, & just peel slowly & it comes right off with a little patience. Just roll & peel once you start it woth the knife.

I use them for my coins, they are good to store the new quarters in, the bigger ones are good for half dollars.

Old prescription bottles are great for putting Q-tips in for traveling. If you're only going for a few days. This way you don't have to worry about them getting messed up and you don't have to bring the whole box or buy one of those little fancy Q-tip holders.
