Hi,my girlfriends and I were dying our hair yesterday and one of my friends dripped brown hair dye on my light tan carpet. How do I get this stain out? I've tried OXY and that didn't get it all out. HELP!!!

Spray a stronghold hairspray on the stain and let it set. Then wipe up with some kind of stain remover and water. I am a hairdresser and that's what I do when I get dye on my clothes and after they are washed it comes right out, but usually I do it as soon as I get the stain so good luck!!! Hopefully it's not too late!

When they come and installed my new light tan carpets, one of the men somehow got green dye from a marker on my carpet..I was so upset,I wanted them to take it back up and replace it.. but the main installer went out to his work truck and brought in a can of Lighter fluid..yes, lighter fluid, he placed some on a small rag and rubbed it in..i was amazed..it did come right out! maybe it wil also work on hair dye!

There is a product called FOLEX Instant Carpet Spot Remover and it works on everything! I got it when my mom got sick once and had a bleeding ulcer and had some problems throughout several areas of her apartment. Well, it cleaned up everything. I also seem to have problems keeping hair color off my carpets as well and one day I was coloring my hair and when I color, I COLOR! Bright red, dark brown, etc..well, this day I got some on the carpet (beige at that) and I got this spot remover out and sprayed it right away and the spot came right out. This stuff works great on everything and anything that can possibly get on the carpets. Definitely worth the $5.43/32 oz. bottle.

Costco has a product called Oil Eater and it's the best soil remover I've ever used. It took black Sharpie ink (permanent) out of carpet. Not good on marble, glass or leather. Those are the only exceptions and it's FDA approved.
Great stuff!

Try a product called "goof off" sold at most hardware or home improvement stores.
I spilled more than a quart of minwax stain with poly in it on an off white carpet and called minwax, that is what they suggested that use.
The stuff really worked,no trace of any pecan stain.I have used it several times since for other things.I love it.
