The fastest way for me to organize my home would be a 10 yard dumpster parked outside my front door for a week! (Humor Arr Arr)

I need about 3 of those dumpsters..easily! My old man is a pack rat and I am NOT allowed to throw anything away. He even digs thru the trash and gets things back out....even 30 year old pans that have passed thier life span!

I can really use some tips. I use to be Miss Organization!! Don't know what happen. My house looks like it (Now those of you with a queasy stomach, don't read the rest of this line) threw up all over the place, but one room I actually tackled. Hey, I warned you to stop reading, didn't I?! For those of you that don't know m, I have a disability, so pain plays a big roll in how things get done. But come on every room in my 11 room house needs work on. What is a person to do that can't afford to hire someone to do it and has a fiance that won't paint to at least help out to make the one look better that I tackled. Our Christmas decorations are still all over our basement and not put away in the crawlspace yet, his reason? He wants to run another cable line up under the back living room so when we rearrange the furniture we won't have the cable showing. Does he know it is almost AUGUST!!!! And he has his nerve to complain to me that I have 5 boxes stacked in the garage with candle making supplies in that need to go to the basement. So what am I to do? Does someone have any help for me please???

Dear Angeleyes: I understand you problem. I have ahusband who I love very much but he is aprocastnator. He meaans well but it takes him months to do anything we need done. I have pain too. I take a vicodin and tackle one room at a time.If you have things you will never do give them to good will they will come and take it away free. Or even salvation army they will remove things you don't need. Now if You can do one room at a time have boxes ready, throw stuff you want to keep in one box , stuff you don't want in another soon your rooms will be clean. A lot of times you can get a few kids from anear by high school to help you out and say you bake them cookies and give them cookies and pop if they help you. even your church children or even the members will help you. they won't think bad of you as you are handicapped and can't do it your self so ask and you shell recive ok so try it ok heope this helps Shirley
