I cannot believe this magazine is ending. I think there is a problem competing with Good Housekeeping. That magazine has deteriorated with the new editor ( no fiction, for example) while this magazine has flourished. I purchase it every week and look forward to everything in it. I will miss it very much. Why would Hearst cancel something so wonderful! It seems that in America today if you find something you like, it is cancelled or closed or taken off the shelf.

I am also very upset about this magazine closing!! I'm sure there are many who are not aware of this and will also feel the same as I do. I just recently discovered this magazine and immediately subscribed to it. I was just getting ready to renew my subscription because I look so forward to receiving it in the mail every week. I can't believe they are doing this when there are so many of us who love and enjoy Q & S!!! Is this their final decision or is there anything we can do to change their minds??

I, too, have a paid subscription until Jan. 20, 2009. What is going to happen to that! I am very upset because our questions have not been answered. I have written several times about this, but never an answer by the magazine editor.

When did you all find out the magazine is ending and how? And when is it supposed to end because my subscripton doesnt end until September 08. Also does anyone think it is ending because they were going to raise the price of it and a lot of us protested the price hike? I mean near $100.00 per year is steep, but did they get a reason. Someone please reply if you know any of these answers! Thanks!

hi eternalrose.....if you look back to july 4,and july 6,you will see posts of Octivewav and Justnoww...that is how we all found out,if you keep checking alot others you will see Brenda did post about it,and later the editor posted.my ans. is they should have never sold to Hearst!!!!and i have yet to see on any news stations that paper has gone up so much any other publications are having problems.it is called start from the bottom and work up to cut the "fat" as all corporations do when they think they have a problem!!look at the banks,houses,G.M. and many others.it is a cold cruel world out there,but there are more good people than bad!!that's my story and i am sticking with it!!someone posted on Womans World,i buy it every week.i love it!!so you see we all have diff. opions on just about everything.EXCEPT for Q&S,we all agree do not stop it,do something diff. with it!!!!nuff for now....

EFFIE, Paper has gone up so much? Oh my! I guess we are having a tree shortage now? What next? Yes there are more people than good, but thats kinda off topic. I noticed after we all protested the magazine price hike a month or so ago, this descision has been made since then. What are your thoughts on that? Brenda says it is because of the way it is published and distributed. I say it is because of ok maybe paper went up and lots of us didnt like the idea of teh magazine priced being hiked up. And thats my story and I am sticking with it. Price!
