I just called Customer Service and they told me that we should be receiving a letter shortly. My guess is that it will be our choice as to whether we will get a refund or we can receive one of their other publications. This will be mentioned in the letter. So I guess we just have to "sit tight".
I am also very upset about this and very disturbed about the short notice of their decision.
I also suggested in other posts that perhaps they could consider waiting until the end of summer (like the end of August). I feel that would at least be a nice compromise considering how LOYAL we all have been!!!! I don't know if this could be possible but it would be nice to be able to enjoy a few more issues!
Maybe BRENDA could do a poll or something to see how many of us would like that and then show the results to them.

Hi Penny:

Unfortunately, the decision to make the July 29 issue Quick & Simple's last is set; for a number of reasons having to do with how the magazine is produced and distributed, we're not able to publish additional issues at this time.

We very much appreciate your loyalty and know how much Quick & Simple magazine meant to you -- I hope that you'll continue visiting us online!

BRENDA- Thanks so much for responding so soon. I appreciate your information and am disappointed but it was worth a try!! We all love this magazine and are truly sorry to see it end. I was just "grasping for straws" hoping we might possibly be able to enjoy a few more issues. I wish I would have discovered Q&S sooner. I only got to enjoy it for a few short months.
I will continue to visit this website but it's just not the same as being able to take my magazine out in our gazebo to read. Frowner
I am thankful, though, that at least they are continuing the website. I guess that will have to do. I hope there are no plans in the future of stopping this too. And if so, they better give us more of a notice!!

Brenda,
Color me stupid... but I just dont see why it has to stop because of how produced and published? That seems to be the answer all over but can you explain as to how this is?

Eternalrose3, magazine issues are not written and printed right before you see them on the newsstand; they are worked on for months in advance. Because of the long and complicated schedule for how the magazine is made, it would not be as simple as flipping a switch to make more issues.

I hope that you can accept that this decision was made with careful thought and analysis by the company. I'm not able (nor is it appropriate for me) to get into specific details about all the financial and other issues around the production of this or any magazine.
