I cannot believe Quick and Simple's print publication is being discontinued. This is my favorite magazine! I read it from cover to cover. It is the only complete magazine that covers all my interests and never disapoints. I look so forward to each issue. I am so sorry to hear it is ceasing publication.

I just found out today about Quick & Simple closing. I am very shocked and disappointed about this. I am sure there must be others who are not aware of this and feel the same as I do.
BRENDA, is there anything we can do to change their minds?? Also, WHY are they doing this??
I just recently discovered this magazine and LOVE it. I feel very cheated that I haven't had as much time to enjoy it! I was just getting ready to renew my subscription!!

I can't believe that this wonderful magazine was taken out of publication just as I discovered it. I tried to subscribe as soon as I got home from the doctor's office to find that subscriptions are no longer available! What a loss and how sad that it isn't even going to be available in stores. Wish I'd seen it when it first started so that I could have enjoyed it for the few years of duration. I sure hope this website stays online.

How we will be refunded our balance of money for our issues we paid for and what if we paid for it via debit card, but had your debit card exchanged for a new one with a new number? How will we be refunded then?
I cant beleive this magazine is closing. I didnt receive my July 15th issue in the maila nd I called about it and extended my subscription for the "inconvience". How can that be if it ceases July 29th? Maybe someone should tell the people who answer the phone calls at customer service?? Also why such a very short notice?? I imagine Q&S will be starting refunds right away since there were so many loyal readers?? Please enlighten us!

BRENDA- Since we were given such short notice and everyone is sooooo upset about the decision to end Q&S- could they PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE at least continue until the end of summer???!! I think everyone would be much happier if we could at least continue receiving Q&S until the end of August. I think we are all in shock over all of this!!

To everyone who reads this, please respond as to whether you agree with me. Maybe if enough people let them know this, we can at least have them compromise and be able to enjoy a few more issues. God knows how LOYAL we have been and I don't think this is asking for much!!! Smiler

Unfortunately, due to the way the magazine is written, printed and distributed, it would not be possible to create issues through the end of the summer; production of the magazine has already wound down.

We all very much appreciate how much this magazine has meant to you! I do hope you'll continue visiting us online

Brenda,
Well since so many people has asked this including myself what will happen to the money for the remaining issues that are owed to us? I have a Cosmopolitan subscription running so cant you all just add soem issues to that if we call the number in the magazine? Seems on all the posts I have seen so gfar on this subject this is the one question that is being avoided and left unanswered!

Hi everyone:
Unfortunately, it looks like it's a waste of our time to complain about the magazine! It doesn't appear that anyone is listening to us anyway. In my opinion, I think they could have continued to produce the magazine. Other publications are still doing fine. I'm really shocked too, since it's owned by Good Housekeeping. YOu would think that would help make it survive. I'm sure glad I didn't subscribe to it and maybe lose money!

Hi Lori:

I'm sorry that you feel no one is listening to you -- as you can see, I've been responding as best I can to people's comments and questions.

Unfortunately, right now, continuing publication of the print magazine isn't a possibility. As I've mentioned, the magazine has already wound down its production and its staff has moved on to other things. I understand how disappointing this is -- it's certainly disappointing to me as well!

Finally, I wanted to correct your comment about people "losing money" on subscriptions. Anyone with a subscription will be contacted by customer service and will be provided options for handling the unused portion of their subscription; I assure you that we will not be keeping your money for issues we did not deliver.

Any subscriber who'd like info on what will happen to their remaining Quick & Simple magazine subscription should call customer service at 888-957-3637.

Eternalrose, please try calling customer service again. I'm not sure why the person you spoke to didn't know about the magazine ending. As I mentioned before, all subscribers will be getting notice about how the unused portion of their subscription will be handled.

Since our company, Hearst, publishes many magazines in addition to Quick & Simple, customer service representatives will not be affected by the closure of Quick & Simple. They will continue to be available as they are now.

Yes, I am just curious as to why there is no mention in the actual magazine about the cease publication? I bought the July 29 issue today that was mentioned, I looked all through the magazine.. I saw nothing about stopping publication, in fact it said to look for the next issue July 29. Why the discrepancy??

I am very disappointed to see this magazine end. I cannot tell you how many times I have searched in several locations only to come up empty. A few weeks later, Any issue I did purchase would be available everywhere I went. I always felt something was very wrong with the distribution here in the northeast.
I am a busy parent who loved the simple format. I never had the opportunity to use the website but decided to sign on because I was tired of continually coming up empty handed when searching for the latest issue.
