Consider this a rant I guess...the Q&S Magazine was a favourite and I was sad when it folded, but I understood the reasoning behind it.
I was under the impression that the website would compensate for the lack of a magazine, but I have to say, it really isn't living up to my expectations. The home page often has the same content on it for days on end (yes, I've cleared my cache and refreshed), and the contest pages are littered with references to the magazine still. I see that the winners of contests have finally been updated, but it took forever for that to be done as well. Q&S, if you're hoping to keep this website and community alive, your going to have to work harder at it IMO. I rarely bother to come by anymore, where I would visit daily in the past. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. Are there plans to revitalize the site, or will you be letting it die a natural death? ~ we are all wanderers in this world - our hearts are filled with wonder and our souls are full of dreams ~ |

I FEEL THE SAME WAY....I USE TO VISIT EVERYDAY UNLESS I WAS SICK...LOVED THE OLD SITE....I'M HAVING SAME PROBLEMS...AND HOPE YOU GET IT FIXED SOON...THANKS FOR LISTENING...PEACEROSE

It's not the same without the magazine AT ALL/ Ya know what they say good things dont last forever . And you couldnt have posted a better message . Good Job , Well done ****Please do something with the web site. It seems there is alway's duplicates of prizes for the day..and they are not as good as they use to be |

Sorry to hear about your disappointment with the site. As for sweepstakes prizes, we are scaling back our offerings in that department. We do, however, still have a variety of prizes up for grabs, but moving forward we won't have as many as we did when the magazine was in business. I too have a complaint with the Q&S site. On July 22, 2008 I won a $100 gift certificate to be used at jordantaylor.net. To date I have not received the certificate, despite filling in the form twice and including my prize code as directed. I called the number shown in the "contact us" section and was given an email address at hearst.com. I sent a letter to the representative at this address. As of today, I have not had a reply to any of my requests to try to have my prize sent to me. Anyone have any suggestions as to how I should deal with this?

i just want to say that i absolutley LOVE this website. i have made a very good friend here. i also like to look up things on the different forums to try and see if i am able to answer peoples questions. i just want to say thankyou to the people who have kept this website alive even though there is no magazine. also i just want to thank the people who put up with eveyones complaints. even mine. I agree with qs. This is a nice website, but I think it needs a little more enhancement. Something like home projects, where we post a picture of a project we are working on in the home and have people here give their ideas on it. Or a section on tips, or I'd like an opinion, or Parenting and stay at home dads. Sort of like more open discussion and any other ideas people can come up with might help to boost it up. We are not getting back the magazine, so lets bring the magazine here. 7 days 7 meals on this site, best pick of the week in entertainment and solutions.

Justnoww, you are a toatal genius. i absolutley love the idea. Brenda, is there any way that Justnoww's idea would really work? i think it would really pick up the site. i have noticed that the site has died down and i think it would be a great thing to at least try out. if you do decide to do this i think the members of this site should be the ones to contribute to it. don't ya think? i really hope it works out. that would be awesome!

I, too, am disappointed in the website. Q & S was my favorite magazine.
On the website, when I go to the topic I would like to see, all I get is an empty box. I have written twice and yet have not received any suggestions to correct the problem. It is very disappointing!!! |

The enhancements that I would like to see on the website relates to the name of the former magazine....Quick and Simple. Little projects, be it for the home, health and beauty, cooking, baking, etc that do not cost a fortune, can be done by the average/intermediate craftsperson and can enhance our lives. On the order of a competing magazine's "good things." For example, taking common dollar store items and make a recharging station for all the electronics in our lives. Or common items that can be retrofitted in organizers. An easy to assemble dessert that does not take all day to prepare. A simple gift to make. Like I said.....Quick and Simple.
