In her June 23 blog post, The Discount Diva tells about a great swap she made recently at a flea market.

Have you ever bartered or traded something you didn't need for a new acquisition? Tell us about it here!

I use the website swaptree.com a lot to trade books and movies that I no longer want for ones that I haven't read or watched. I've gained a lot of new books and movies this way.

I live at the beach so that means I have a lot of friends and family that want to take their vacations or weekends at my home. I have a small house so I have to find other beds. I have neighbors that only occasionaly use there vacation homes so I mow and take care of their yards or paint or do other things so I can have access to their homes.

When I was first married, I had a large aluminum bowl for putting fruit in. My neighbor liked it, but I didn't. She offered to trade me for a golden glass bowl. We traded and years later I found myself in possession of a carnival glass bowl, which I later sold for $15.
