I sorta been playing a trick on my Son Chad who has a little bit of weight problem. He's only 6 and the doctor says he need to loose 8-10 pounds. Hard to take when I am over 100 pounds from my ideal weight. So I ask him to race me to the end of the block or we take a walk to the park to go fishing. When he wants to take the car I make an excuse that I am low on gas or suggest he practise learning how to ride his bike. The park is 1 mile away. Just a little suggestion and change in plans seems to be working. Together we are both getting into shape. And either of us are focused on loosing just spending time with each other.
