I had a total hysterectomy 2 months ago. By week 2 I was walking about a mile at a clip. I not only felt better, and healed quicker, but lost over 10 pounds. I walk almost every night and am continuing to feel better and better. I am not sure I would have bounced back so quickly if I was not walking. It also helped me from going stir crazy at home.
