When my husband and I got married nearly 42 years ago, every Easter his entire family of
7 brothers and sisters and their children all came back to "Mom and Dad's" house for Easter dinner and a traditional Easter egg hunt. Now
WE are Mom and Dad to our 5 married children and
they come to our house on Easter for dinner and
the traditional Easter egg hunt. Our 11 grandchildren eagerly await the starting signal, and my husband delights in hiding some of the eggs in very difficult places (for the older kids) and in easy places for the little ones. Then we have our ham dinner, and lots of family reminiscing and laughter. I'm so looking forward to it! (My mother, who is 93, also comes to dinner and loves to show the little children where the eggs are hidden).

We always buy Easter dresses, Easter baskets, and lots of goodies for the baskets. Of course, after church, an egg-hunt follows. We hide dyed eggs and plastic eggs. Inside the plastic eggs could be a small prize, money, or a sweet note.
