Books give you details and more insight into the story; however, there's something incredible about seeing a story on screen. George Clooney certainly grabs my attention! If I can, I do try to read the book before I watch the movie because I have more information and background on the storyline.

I prefer the book. Unless you see the movie without ever reading the book, you are missing lots of details that movies leave out. For instance, when I read "Gone With the Wind", I
had mind pictures of each character. When I saw the movie and found George Reeve (Superman)
playing one of the Tarleton twins, I was very disappointed. Also, I read "The Stand" before I
saw the movie. There was no comparison. The book was MUCH better. In fact, I've read that particular book several times and still find it
fascinating.

Hands down...the book version! You are able to make up pictures in your mind of what the characters look like, not to mention all the little details you are given. Of course I am such a book worm so this is an easy question.

In most cases I am disappointed with the movie versions of books. There is only one movie that I've seen that I felt really captured the book fairly well...it was Mystic River by Dennis Lehane.

I just read a good Book. It's not a movie. It probably will be down the road. It's called: Zapped by Carol Higgins Clark. Very Good. It's the first time I've read her work. I usually read Mary Higgins Clark. It's a good read.

I PREFER SEEING THE MOVIE AND THEN READ THE BOOK. THE AUTHOR USUALLY POINTS OUT MANY THINGS YOU DON'T GET FROM SEEING THE MOVIE OR JUST HOW WORDS ARE WRITTEN IT SEEMS MORE REAL.

Prefer the book, you get more details from reading the book as oppose to the movie

I like the movie versions. I like the music that builds up to climax of the movie or the music that makes you cry with a kiss or a touch. You can feel the movie.

IT DEPENDS ON THE SUBJECT MATTER OF THE STORY
IF ITS TO MY INTEREST, I PREFER THE BOOK
THAN THE MOVIE.

As an English teacher of 13 years and the Arkanas English Teacher of the Year, the book IS always better. Books ignite the imagination; movies create it for you- most of the time disappointing the reader.

i voted book, but it's so hard to tell. sometimes the book is better than the movie, but other times the movie is better. so really it's really hard to tell. i'll just say that i usually love both of them equally.
